Gymnastics Competition at St. Bede’s High School

On Wednesday Tyler, Libby, Sam, Kasey, Logan and Erin from Year 6 took part in a gymnastics

competition at St. Bede’s High School.  Whilst at the competition, they had to perform two different vaults and a floor routine.  After only a few practice sessions, the children performed excellently!  Coming 4th    as a group in the vault and they came 3rd in the floor routine.

Well done children!!

Change 4 Life Festival

On Thursday 22nd March a group of 6 children from Year 3 attended the first Change 4 Life festival, organised by students from Blackburn College.  They enjoyed a carousel of fun activities alongside 11 other invited schools.  The activities encourage physical movement  in a fun engaging way, encouraging non-sporty children to enjoy taking part.  The children enjoyed the afternoon, coming away very tired.  As always their behaviour was a credit to our school.  They listened carefully to instructions and were able to get the optimum benefit from all the activities.  They now look forward to Mrs Wilton selecting them for the next festival.
